Founding Software Engineer

​​Imagine websites autonomously optimizing themselves to improve performance. You'd be building a system that teaches websites to evolve overtime to increase conversions, sales, and revenue. The platform you'd be building would be automatically performing the work it used to take dozens of engineers, designers, and data scientists to run. We’re starting with eCommerce (a gigantic market) and expanding from there.

It’s a huge vision and this is why we’re looking for the world’s best founding team to make it a reality. We are well funded, at a very early stage, so this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join as a founding engineer and set the technical direction for the company.

What you’ll achieve

As a founding engineer, your immediate focus will be to design, develop, test and maintain highly scalable and reliable systems that power our platform's features and functionalities. You’ll wear many hats and have a lot of autonomy. You will be a part of shaping and influencing the future of the team, product, and the company.

 

You will also

• Architect and build the a large-scale database that explains what UI works and why

• Implement AI models that predict the best improvements to websites

• Architect and train LLMs

• Implement a large-scale intelligence platform that feeds data into our AI models

• Build a frontend (JS) experimentation framework that operates autonomously, at scale

• Implement processes and practices to support the scaling of the development team

• Develop and execute against both short and long-term roadmaps, making effective tradeoffs between business impact, user experience, and a high-quality technical foundation

Who we’re looking for

• A software craftsman - you know your sh*t around code, an overall rounded professional

• 5+ years of full-stack experience is the guideline (not a deal breaker)

• A degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, math, or equivalent experience

• Our tech stack is Python, JS, AWS (not a deal breaker)

• AI enthusiast
