The Data Governance will help establish and manage our company's data governance framework from scratch. This role is crucial in ensuring the proper handling, storage, and usage of data in compliance with industry regulations. The candidate will develop and enforce data governance policies, manage data integrity, and ensure adherence to best practices. She also must be able to engage multiple stakeholders, set up actionable items, and implement necessary policies and procedures within a short period of time

Create a roadmap for implementing data governance policies and procedures.
Policy Development:
Draft, review, and update data governance policies, standards, and guidelines.
Ensure policies cover data privacy, security, quality, and lifecycle management.
Framework Implementation:
Establish a data governance council or committee comprising key stakeholders.
Define roles and responsibilities for data stewardship and data management.
Regulatory Compliance:

Research and interpret relevant data protection regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, and other pharmaceutical-specific regulations.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management Data Science or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or equivalent are a plus.
Skills and Qualifications
Industry Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related regulatory environment is highly desirable.
Leadership Experience:
Demonstrated experience in leading data governance initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of establishing and implementing data governance frameworks from scratch.
Regulatory Compliance:
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical distribution regulations, data protection laws, and compliance requirements.
Experience in ensuring organizational adherence to relevant regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
