Senior Oracle EBS Functional Financials Consultant
As a Senior Oracle EBS Functional Financials Consultant, you will be a key member of the consulting team, responsible for providing expert-level guidance and support in the design, implementation, and optimization of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials modules. You will work closely with clients to understand their business processes, gather requirements, configure the system, and provide recommendations to streamline financial operations and enhance the overall effectiveness of their financial systems.
Responsibilities
1. Requirements Analysis and Solution Design
Collaborate with clients to gather and document business requirements related to financial processes, reporting, and analysis
Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs within the Oracle EBS Financials modules
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, aligning the system with industry best practices
2. Configuration and Implementation
Configure Oracle EBS Financials modules based on business requirements, ensuring accurate setup of GL, AP, AR, FA, PA, PMM, and other relevant modules
Customize the system through setup options, flexfields, and other configuration tools to meet unique client needs
Collaborate with technical teams for any required customizations or integrations
3. Testing and Quality Assurance
Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate system functionality and data accuracy
Identify and address issues or gaps during testing, working with development and functional teams to resolve problems
4. End-User Training and Support
Conduct training sessions for end-users, educating them on how to use and navigate the Oracle EBS Financials modules effectively
Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot issues, and offer solutions to ensure smooth system operation
5. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, customizations, and solutions implemented
Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the consulting team, sharing insights and best practices
6. Stakeholder Communication
Maintain open and clear communication with clients and project stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular project updates
7. Project Management and Leadership
Lead or participate in project teams, providing guidance to junior consultants and coordinating project activities
Assist in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus
A minimum of 8 years of experience as an Oracle EBS Functional Financials Consultant, with a demonstrated track record of successful implementations and project leadership
In-depth knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite Financials modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management, Project Accounting, Project Costing, Project Billing, and related modules
Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, testing, and end-user training
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience with project management methodologies and tools
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
