Principal Salesforce Consultant

As the Principal Consultant operates as a senior delivery leader and trusted advisor to executive stakeholders. At this level, consultants shape solution strategy, influence portfolio outcomes, and scale best practices across pods and accounts.

This role follows a structured allocation model:
- 25 hours per week of billable client delivery
- 10 hours per week strategically allocated for mentorship, strategic initiatives, pre sales, industry specialization, or expanding platform capabilities.

Principal Consultants are expected to elevate not just the accounts they touch, but the
systems, standards, and leaders around them.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Client Delivery & Advisory
● Lead high-impact Salesforce and revenue platform engagements, ensuring scalable architecture, strong margin performance, and measurable business outcomes
● Serve as a trusted advisor to Director- and C-level stakeholders, guiding long-term platform, revenue systems, and GTM decisions
● Provide senior-level leadership in complex solution domains (e.g., Revenue Cloud, Experience Cloud, integrations, custom development, ecosystem tools such as Nue or
Clay)
● Sponsor delivery excellence through structured planning, governance, and risk mitigation
● Identify account-level growth opportunities while protecting scope integrity and client trust
● Contribute to multi-workstream or cross-team initiatives where strategic alignment is critical

Project & Portfolio Management
● Direct strategic initiatives that align teams and accounts to deliver consistent outcomes at scale
● Sponsor and refine solution frameworks, architecture standards, and governance models that increase portfolio reliability and margin health
● Identify systemic risks or recurring delivery challenges and drive durable mprovements
● Strengthen cross-portfolio alignment by sharing insights, patterns, and reusable assets
● Collaborate with VP of Delivery on portfolio performance, capacity planning, and strategic decision-making

Qualifications
● 7+ years of experience in Salesforce consulting, enterprise systems implementation, or revenue platform strategy
● Deep expertise in Salesforce and related ecosystem platforms (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Nue, Clay, or similar tools)
● Proven experience serving as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders
● Strong architectural thinking and ability to design scalable, integrated solutions
● Demonstrated ability to influence across teams without formal authority
● Experience mentoring senior consultants or leading cross-functional initiatives
● Strong financial and operational awareness, including margin considerations and
delivery tradeoffs
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Experience
● Experience shaping or scaling consulting practices within a high-growth environment
● Industry specialization (e.g., SaaS, nonprofit, education, financial services)
● Experience leading complex integrations or multi-cloud Salesforce environments
● Exposure to CPQ, billing, or advanced revenue operations tooling
● Prior involvement in pre-sales strategy and executive-level proposal development
