Software Engineer (.NET)
We are seeking an energetic, versatile, and self-motivated Senior Software Developer ready
to make a positive social impact.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, testing, documenting and maintaining web and applications in a team environment. We are looking for someone who is a quick learner, and able to read, understand and debug legacy code. You will be expected to adhere to business specifications while using the latest standards, practices, tools, and guidelines for .NET and React/Redux front-end application development. You should be comfortable building new components, and maintaining/upgrading old code.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
● Work with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts.
● Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.
● Integrate software components and third-party programs.
● Verify and deploy programs and systems.
● Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.
● Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications
● Writing and implementing efficient code
● Determining operational practicality
● Developing quality assurance procedures
● Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics
● Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
● Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts
Skills & Experience:
● 6+ years of experience building web applications in C#/.NET
● 2+ year building single-page applications using React/Redux
● Good Object-Oriented fundamentals
● Good knowledge of C#, ASP.NET/Core web development
● Experience with production applications in Azure cloud
● Excellent skills in SQL Server
● Excellent skills in JavaScript
● Experience in DOM, HTML5, CSS, SASS, Webpack
● Able to build functional and technical requirements based on product requirements
● Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must
● University degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
● eCommerce experience considered an asset
● 1+ years of experience working with Elastisearch and Node.js considered an asset
● Accessibility best practices experience considered an asset
● REST API development experience considered an asset
● Linux (Ubuntu preferably) experience considered an asset
