VP, Product Management

We are looking for a VP, Product Management, a scientist with a proven track record of successfully building complex B2B data products catering to pharmaceutical companies and their scientists. This role will be reporting to the SVP, Science & Product. You are a team player, a great communicator, and enjoy customer-facing interactions; you can clearly articulate a clear vision, and help translate it into digestible chunks of work for cross-functional teams to execute. This is a challenging, impactful and highly collaborative role, situated at the intersection of data engineering, machine learning and bioinformatics on the one hand, and a deep understanding of science, and bench scientists and how to cater to them on the other hand.

You Will:

    • Build and lead the product management teams responsible for user interface and experience as well as technical components of the platform
    • Represent us in strategic meetings with key accounts, exhibiting the value of our platform to customers, and synthesizing feedback and input into our decision-making process on the platform
    • Help define the product strategy
    • Translate the product strategy and commercial reality into guidance for teams to execute on, ensuring that the product development teams are focused on the right priorities, delivering the maximum impact
    • Build and maintain the product roadmap, and help facilitate the relevant sessions with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Platform Officer, Chief Science Officer & Chief Architect Officer
    • Represent Product Management at the highest decision-making forums

You Have:

    • An advanced Science degree in (MSc. or Ph.D. in life sciences)
    • 3+ years of senior leadership experience (Director, VP, C-level)
    • Have 7+ years of Product Management experience, especially on enterprise products or platforms that incorporate machine learning at scale and data-intensive architectures
    • A proven track record in ideating, conceptualizing, building, launching and iterating on complex B2B Enterprise data-heavy products and leading them to high adoption
    • The ability to bring clarity to a complex domain and drive alignment between engineers, scientists and customer-facing teams
    • A high comfort level with both the science and technology sides of building successful products
    • Experience influencing cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes over outputs with the ability to oversee problem identification and validation through qualitative and quantitative research, and validation of solutions with end-users
    • Prior experience in enterprise client-facing roles is ideal but not required, experience interacting directly with highly scientific and data-savvy stakeholders is essential
    • Strong problem-solving skills - can deal with ambiguity, gather information, prioritize, and drive execution on objectives, ensuring they ladder up to key strategies in an iterative and incremental way
