Product Designer

This company is a venture studio based in Orange County, CA. They are an award-winning team of designers, engineers, and product innovators. They work on their own products as well as partner with global brands to build new and innovative products from the ground up to help them stay competitive in their industries. Although headquartered in California, they also have a vibrant center of operations in Toronto, ON. 

Responsibilities:

• Encouraging best practices
• Work on both internal startup projects (20%) and on client projects with global clients (80%) and provide senior leadership and ownership on these projects
• Work closely with the product management team to execute and deliver various products
• Represent the company externally as a leader in the community 
• Become a core contributor to product development methodologies 

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience designing products across multiple platforms, including web and mobile products
• 1-2 years of experience shipping products as a senior designer, with the ability to take ownership and lead projects end-to-end
• Experience with design thinking process and research methodology
• Familiarity with an agile development environment
• Experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to get into the "weeds of design" with experience structuring design processes
• Portfolio that shows range in product design, design systems, user research, and visual design, including design creation
