Enterprise Systems Architect

Reporting to Manager, IT

The Enterprise Systems Architect determines how IT services, solutions, and infrastructure should be built. You will work closely with other teams – Network, Engineering, Operations, DevOps, Product, BA and other departments to oversee all technologies and services TERAGO uses. Responsible for our IT Infrastructure, System, Network, Security, On-Prem or Cloud Hosted. Install, config, maintain, and day-to-day support of TERAGO's IT Network, Servers, Systems, Storage, Applications, VOIP, End User devices, mobile devices and more. Act as our Security Engineer, Project/Portfolio Manager and Implementer of IT projects and initiatives.



Responsibilities:
  • Design and build future-proof infrastructure and Data Centers, and provide recommendations and end-to-end leadership and support to projects that align with our IT and business strategies.
  • Monitor trends in networking, security, infrastructure and application products to optimize resources, efficiency and costs, and react quickly to changing requirements, applying industry best practices.
  • Provide tier 3 support in addition to 24x7 on-call support for our IT Infrastructure and cybersecurity incidents, ensuring proper assessment, root-cause determination, containment, resolution, end-user training to prevent recurrence, and documentation.
  • Manage daily operational tasks and resolve assigned ticket; provide service desk support as required.
  • Possess communication skills required to present IT strategies, technology roadmaps and solutions to senior management, stakeholders and end-users, who might have little to no background in IT.
  • Analyze existing IT environment for improvement, identify deficiencies, vulnerabilities and impacts, and provide new initiatives, changes, patching and upgrades to ensure full security compliance 
  • Have experience with external audits and can provide evidence for SOC and PCI compliance.
  • Define, perform, and train users as needed on various IT policies, processes, and procedures including (but not limited to) system backups and recovery; asset inventorying and management; virtualization; software licensing and deployment; Windows, Linux, Unix integration; Hybrid Azure AD Joined, Microsoft 365 Defender (Endpoint, Vulnerability Management, Identity, ATP etc.); MAM and MDM solutions; design and migration of applications and servers to cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP); and design, implement and support of VoIP, ACD, and Contact Center in Call Center Environment.
  • Create and maintain diagrams and documentation depicting the current state and/or changes made to TeraGo’s infrastructure in online wikis and ticketing system.
  • Are comfortable creating and editing scripts, debugging, and configuring using Perl, C, PowerShell etc.
  • Lead vendor solution assessments, RFQ, RFP, POC, and SOW

Education & Experience:
  • 10+ years technical support in an enterprise environment, with 5+ years being in infrastructure planning, architecture design and medium to large scale project implementation, using a wide range of technologies from various vendors.
  • Diploma or Degree in science or computer engineering, information technology or a related field.
  • Certification in Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, AWS, Security, ITIL an asset.
