Engineering Manager x 4

About the Role
This is your chance to join a fast-track insurtech venture on a mission to take the commercial (re)insurance placement workflow into the 21st century and beyond.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers working as part of a cross functional Business Line to deliver key application functionality to end users. In this role you will manage other engineers and champion their training and development, as well as ensuring the team meets KPIs and engineering delivery goals, and will collaborate with other engineering teams to drive forward engineering

Our teams have a high degree of autonomy and ownership and we are looking for candidates who are comfortable making good decisions based on limited data as needed to keep things moving forwards.

What you'll do
● Lead the delivery of customer focussed projects, working with design, product, sales and
customer success teams to ensure their successful delivery.
● Work with the product, design and technical teams to groom and prepare upcoming work for
● Be the go-to-person support and unblock the team technically and cross-functionally to ensure
delivery of features, technical growth of the team and maintenance of the platform.
● Manage and mentor developers including 1-1s, day-to-day HR (vacations etc) and putting in
place personal development plans to help others achieve their maximum potential.
● Assist in pre-sales conversations, and the design & discovery phase of projects to develop
realistic and deliverable customer proposals and account onboarding plans.

What we look for
● Experience delivering projects on time and within budget.
● Experience managing and scaling rapidly growing engineering teams.
● B2B SaaS experience
● A positive, “we can do that” attitude, backed by realistic estimates and expectations
● Familiarity with our technology stack (Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, React JS, Postgres, AWS) is a
plus, but not a requirement.
