Your mission

You’ll join our tight-knit, early-stage team, where you’ll solve interesting technical challenges and shape the direction of the product. We’re at a pivotal moment as a company as we scale our existing products and explore new verticals. As an early engineer on the team, you’ll work across the stack and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to own key product and engineering initiatives

What you will do

Collaborate across Product, Design, and Engineering to shape roadmap priorities, define great user experiences, and drive product direction
Work full-stack to own features end-to-end - from early exploration and prototyping to implementation, launch, and ongoing iteration
Build scalable, high-quality systems while solving complex technical challenges in performance, architecture, and reliability
Continuously improve our codebase, infrastructure, and development practices - balancing speed with quality through well-tested code and thoughtful trade-offs
Contribute to technical leadership by driving architectural decisions, shaping engineering standards, and helping grow the team through interviewing and improving the hiring process

Role-specific

5+ years of software development experience as an IC.
Have strong CS fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, system design, and distributed systems.
Write high-quality code, value software testing, and uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design.
Have a startup mindset: you’re resourceful, adaptable, and not afraid of ambiguity.
Enjoy learning new tools, technologies, and methodologies to stay at the cutting edge.
Able to work effectively in a remote setting and able to overlap with our core hours of 9 AM to 12 PM PT.
[Bonus] Prior experience building 0 → 1 products and engineering systems.

Create the best crypto accounting product
Implement tax-loss harvesting to reduce capital gains taxes for cryptocurrency users

Some of the challenges we’re tackling

Scale and performance — processing billions of data points and supporting users with millions of transactions efficiently
Complex logic — building systems for transfer detection, cost basis tracking, and tax optimization using solid algorithmic foundations
Blockchain integration — working with raw blockchain data, xPubs, smart contracts, and running our own nodes to support a wide range of assets and protocols
System complexity — integrating with hundreds of exchanges and wallets while maintaining accuracy, reliability, and observability
Product discovery — identifying user needs, exploring use cases, and iterating quickly to find product-market fit and deliver real value
