About the Role

In this position, you will design and implement a robust infrastructure framework that supports the next generation of financial services, ensuring compliance, security, scalability, and the ability to manage substantial financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy infrastructure that effectively supports rapid transaction volume growth while ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Architect and maintain compliance with standards such as PCI DSS 4.0 and SOC 2 Type II across all production systems.
• Manage and optimize a cloud infrastructure stack, including various platform services.
• Develop and enhance our infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform.
• Establish and maintain observability systems for application performance, infrastructure monitoring, and alerting.
• Lead security initiatives, focusing on encryption strategies, secret management, and compliance automation.
• Strive for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the infrastructure at scale.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and monitor payment processing systems effectively.
• Establish best practices for infrastructure and mentor team members on cloud architecture and DevOps principles.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering, including a minimum of 3 years with cloud platform services.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services and networking.
• Expertise in using Terraform for managing infrastructure.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment automation.
• Familiarity with observability tools for application and infrastructure monitoring.
• Solid understanding of security practices and compliance frameworks.
• A history of building and maintaining high-volume, high-availability systems.
• Experience in incident response, troubleshooting, and drafting postmortems.
• Effective communication skills, enabling translation of technical decisions to both engineering teams and leadership.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership toward reliability, security, and performance.
