Lead UX Designer

Our client is looking for Lead User Experience Designer to join their team.  As the Lead User Experience Designer, you will lead the charge on enterprise tools that enable our teams to be more productive.

  • Lead creative and holistic design thinking across our products. Own, drive, and manage highly strategic User Experience projects.
  • Defining the design strategy and bridging the gap between design and business goals with passion and flexibility.
  • Work closely with our cross-functional partners (business stakeholders, engineering, product managers and subject matter experts) to define product strategy and lead the way on user experience in our products.
  • Develop a deep empathy and understanding of our users and how they do their work.
  • Use design research to inform design solutions.
  • Own the design process from end to end: conduct user research to understand the users’ problems, take a design from early concepts (low fidelity) to final design (high fidelity).
  • Conduct usability testing on various ideas and validate ideas on each iteration to ensure your solutions align with business goals.
  • Be a good storyteller. You will need to have strong facilitation and collaboration abilities to facilitate discussions and workshops with engineers and business stakeholders to advocate for good user experience and potential solutions to identified problems.
  • Continue efforts to define design processes, establish design operations and extend our existing design system.
  • Distill complex problems into easy-to-understand user flows and wireframes. 
  • Be both a player and a coach, working at high and detailed levels 
  • Support and guide the career development of junior designers at varying levels of experience
  • Provide critiques and peer review of other designers' work while embracing feedback on your own work.
  • Work closely with third party consulting firm(s), to ideate, collaborate and execute on design decisions

  • 6+ years hands-on experience leading user experience design throughout a product development cycle, including responsive web and mobile apps. Having experience with business application design (enterprise, B2B, etc) is a plus.
  • Have remarkable ability to translate discovery research into usable low-fidelity mockups and prototypes of your solutions.
  • Communicate your ideas clearly with team members and with senior members such as Senior Managers and Partners
  • An online portfolio demonstrating excellent visual and interaction design skills, problem solving skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of Figma (and other design tools)
  • Excellent presentation and organization skills to present ideas and documentation in a way that can be easily understood by others.
  • Your design solutions were instrumental to the success of a shipped product.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Successful track record leading interdisciplinary teams in creating great products, with proven skills in mentoring, presenting, and visual communication.
  • Comfortable conducting end-to-end user research
