As a Senior Product Manager, you will be a mature product leader already comfortable in the product management practice and responsibilities. You will have experience managing multiple products and features in an agile environment from end-to-end. That includes all phases from discovery to MVP and beyond.
You will be able to describe how you go about building a roadmap, how you get the best out of stakeholders, how you empower your teams and why you are a great person to work with. You have the technical and design chops to facilitate conversations with engineering and design. You will be a clear communicator that gets stakeholders excited about the product vision and you empower them to make your product or feature a success. You need to work well in ceremonies and be a great facilitator that generates excitement and direction in meetings. You must keep a well-detailed backlog of work that is ready to commit to each sprint.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential user journeys, problems and needs that are not met or could be improved
- Understand the company's competitive strengths and how best to leverage them in proposed solutions
- Develop and champion the data product vision throughout the scrum team and across the organization
- Galvanize stakeholder groups around the product vision
- Perform user research using surveys, interviews and various tools and turn findings into actionable insights
- Manage and build a convincing product-led roadmap
- Communicate, quantify, and identify business value, and make prioritizations based on the value
- Lead the planning process and work with stakeholders in developing an informed product roadmap to ensure objectives and targets are met
- Responsible for developing and implementing new products, features, content and services with the objective of creating compelling consumer experiences and value
- Understanding the market, the trends, competitive positioning, and user needs and adjusts accordingly
- Coordinate and work closely with the product development team and other cross-functional teams like data, sales, revenue operations, marketing, community management, IT operations, and more to meet product deliverables
- Ensure product backlogs are prioritized and maintained so that each successive Sprint can be planned clearly and efficiently
- Actively engage with the Scrum team to ensure development decisions stay aligned with user and business needs, and address issues quickly and confidently
- Ongoing monitoring of product performance using analytics, user feedback, competitive information and market research
- Work with data analysts to build dashboards for your product and keep them up-to-date so you can report back how the product and features are performing
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager / Sr. Product Manager
- Experience with both web and mobile products, and building bridges between the two
- Proven track record of successful product launches and management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams
- Experience within a marketplace or communities-based platform is a plus
