About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help bring our payment platform to life! As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll be responsible for building out and maintaining multiple technical streams within the platform.

You'll work on building new visual components and user experiences allowing renters to easily pay rent through our system. You’ll work directly with our CTO and CPO to build new product features and modules for our end users.

What you'll do

• Work with the engineering and product teams to create awesome customer experiences.
• Help lead the launch of Canada’s first-ever tenant-based rewards program.
• Work with Chexy’s partners to implement financial APIs and build seamless integrations.
• Help architect new services and features while maintaining and improving the existing code base.

What you’ll bring

• Strong experience in frontend engineering with React (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, npm, and testing).
• Experience building reliable APIs in Javascript or other languages.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Comfortable working with Firebase databases (primarily Firebase Firestore and Google Cloud Platform).
• Self-starter. We’re a small engineering team so you’ll be responsible for large chunks of code and decision-making!
• 3+ years of Full-Stack development experience working on end-to-end web applications.

Nice to have:

• Experience with financial APIs such as Stripe, Flinks, Züm Rails
• Experience working with Node.JS
• Experience building applications from scratch
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment development workflows
• Familiarity with Cloud Computing platforms such as GCP
• Experience with Mobile Development is a huge plus!
