Lead Product Manager, New Ventures

This company is a venture studio based in Orange County, CA. They are an award-winning team of designers, engineers, and product innovators. They work on their own products as well as partner with global brands to build new and innovative products from the ground up to help them stay competitive in their industries. Although headquartered in California, they also have a vibrant center of operations in Toronto, ON. They also have team members scattered across the world who work remotely, so location is not a limiting factor.

As a Lead Product Manager, focusing on New Ventures, you'll be working closely with the CEO to validate new ventures and products, including market research and helping to develop MVPs.


  • Working with the CEO to validate ideas and vet new ventures
  • Performing market research
  • Working with development teams to build MVPs and POCs for new ventures
  • Owning product roadmaps and communicating progress
  • Assisting in the management of key initiatives and programs supporting the strategic objectives
  • Working with team leads when product decisions are being made and collaborating with clients, designers, engineers, marketing, sales, and other business functions
  • Coaching, mentoring and sharing information on a regular basis
  • Sharing your knowledge of processes, tools and methodologies to new Product Managers
  • Ability to travel as required by client and engagement needs
  • 6+ years of product management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering) or Business
  • MBA is strongly preferred
  • Experience working successfully on an Agile team
  • Contributed to the design, development, or project management of software applications
  • Experience with project management frameworks, processes, and tools
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to drive consensus and build strong client relationships
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, assertiveness and leadership
  • A flexible, driven, highly-organized and self-starter personality
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative and constantly changing workplace
  • Strong commitment to take ownership and make an impact while delivering quality products
  • Experience with design and innovation focused client engagements
  • Solid understanding of Design Thinking and Lean Startup methodologies
  • Client-facing skills and the ability to build strong relationships with the C-suite
