Business Analyst - MS Dynamics

Working closely with Business team, IT team and other stakeholders; the Senior Business Systems Analyst will provide a detailed understanding on the features and functionality of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, and other applications, from the user and technical aspect and how the business process is achieved using the application. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to implement new and enhanced applications through the Solution Delivery Life Cycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for MS Dynamics 365 F&O particularly Finance, Expense and Procurement modules for ongoing support and enhancements, business requirements definition, end user access, and configuration.
  • Manage enhancements and operational support of MS Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Provide Tier 2 application support.
  • Manage Dynamics 365 F&O system administration, such as users and role management, email management, periodical review of Optimization Advisor, and monitoring batch job executions.
  • Coordinate regression testing for production updates
  • Lead the elicitation of functional requirements to support the design and development of the D365 F&O and other solutions.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to map business requirements using the capabilities of the ERP system and solution for system gaps.
  • Responsible for configuration and solution design of application modules specific to different business areas by aligning system processes with business requirements.
  • Participate in all phases of the Solution Delivery Life Cycle including planning, requirements definition, solution design, test execution, and implementation of corporate applications.
  • Complete applicable project-related documentation, including design specifications, application test plans, test cases and scripts, as well as system admin and key users guides.
  • Work with IT leadership to analyze and validate the business needs of corporate systems
  • Perform impact analysis of changes to an application or technology platform.
  • Work closely with the business SMEs/Super Users and other IT teams to ensure corporate systems and system implementations are supported appropriately.
  • Contribute to the technology roadmap for select corporate applications
  • Promote a collaborative team environment and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve goals
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operation/AX application configuration and implementation experience, particularly on Finance, Expense and Procurement functionalities
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements; with proven ability to understand and interpret business processes, workflows, and systems to identify solutions or opportunities for application improvements (e.g. utilizing application functionality or improving application system performance); ability to read and write user documentation as well as strategic technology documents; and demonstrated ability to leverage application/technology functionality (particularly ERP) to resolve complex business issues.
  • Deep understanding of intersection of business and technology to readily engage in issue resolution and investigation for business/financial challenges related to integration and reporting.
  • Experience in Solution Development Life Cycle, including design (creating functional specifications), test scripts and other system administration, and support documentation.
  • Finance business process and accounting knowledge
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O certifications would be an asset
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O application security experience would be an asset
  • ERP consulting experience would be an asset
  • Microsoft PowerApps experience would be an asset
  • Proficiency in developing SQL queries and understand complex database schemas and database objects, would be an asset
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to details
  • Organized, proactive, adaptable, positive, creative and team player with ability to work independently
  • Quick learner, eager to learn new things and keep current with technology
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science and/or relevant experience
