Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in Canadian payroll systems to lead the development and enhancement of our payroll products tailored for the Canadian market. This role will be pivotal in shaping our payroll offerings, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and delivering exceptional value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap:
Develop and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Canadian payroll products.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align product initiatives with business objectives and customer needs.
Market Research & Compliance:
Stay informed about Canadian payroll laws, tax regulations, and industry trends.
Ensure all payroll products meet provincial and federal compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality product releases.
Partner with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
Customer Focus:
Conduct user research and gather feedback to identify customer pain points and opportunities for improvement.
Advocate for the voice of the customer throughout the product development lifecycle.
Performance Measurement:
Define and track product success metrics, using data-driven insights to refine and optimize features.
Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
Experience:
7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on payroll or financial products.
Proven expertise in Canadian payroll systems and regulations is mandatory.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Aha!).
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
