Title: Database Administrator - SQL (Tier 3/Senior level)

Our client is looking for a Senior-level SQL Server Database Administrator. Our company provides support for our customer’s mission critical database systems, which is possible through our proven model of meeting and exceeding our customers SLAs through our multi-tiered team support. We are looking for a Senior-level SQL DBA with very strong SQL Server experience in production environments and database consulting experience. The DBA will be part of our service support team interacting with our customers. The SQL DBA must be able to lead database service for a client – which means advising on both the reactive activities needed to maintain availability, security, and performance, but also the proactive items like architecture design, DR strategies, backup management, performance and capacity management, and helping our clients to minimize their database costs. This position would be an exciting opportunity for the DBA who has the right experience to grow their career and expand their knowledge and be part of one of the biggest SQL Server support team in North America supporting multiple clients utilizing the latest cutting edge technologies and IP automation.

Applicants must have the following experience in order to be considered for this position:


Mandatory SQL Server DBA Skills:

· 8+ years overall IT experience, with 6+ years on SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 and 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, and 2016

· Experienced in supporting SQL Server IaaS and PaaS on AWS and Azure Clouds.

· Worked in clustered SQL Server environments

· Experienced in setting up SQL Server Log Shipping, Replication and Mirroring

· SQL Server Always On Availability Groups

· Skilled in backups & disaster recovery

· Knowledge of Windows Server 2003R2 and later editions

· Working knowledge in T-SQL, BCP, DTS and SSIS development

· 24 X 7 production support experience

Experience in the following other areas is required:

· Work in customer services environments or in Managed Service Providers

· Participate in team support for multiple customers

· Triage incidents and work on service request ticket via ServiceNow

· Communicate clearly and pointedly with technical and non-technical users
