Founding Engineer / Lead Engineer

About You

You are a highly motivated, roll-up-your-sleeves engineer who loves to build complex products and systems from the ground up. You love to learn about and use the latest technologies, including generative AI. You have a strong architectural sense and have a demonstrated ability to turn architecture into code. You thrive in ambiguous settings and know how to balance tech debt and "doing things right". You enjoy being part of a small, fast-paced, and energetic team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented engineer to help us build the best-in-class AI wealth management platform. An ideal candidate has 5 years of software experience building nuanced technical systems and experience leading small teams through product development cycles.

• Experience or personal interest in consumer fintech is a plus

You will:

• Lead our small engineering team through product sprints
• Work closely with our designer and product lead as well as our CEO to align the tech with the rest of our business and product objectives
• Implement improvements and automations for our investment platform
• Architect an AI-driven financial advisory product incorporating our own vector database, prompt engineering, context retention and fine-tuning (current integration is with Chat-GPT APIs but this may evolve)
• Maintain and manage AWS infrastructure
